Psyching them up to race for a kid who can't
Coming Full Circle...
In addition to his speaking and racing schedule, Tony launched an amazing event for an important Minnesota non-profit in 2004 that has grown into the biggest event of its kind in the world. Under Tony's leadership, in the six-year history of the MiracleKids Triathlon, over 4500 kids have raced the triathlon to get more fit while also raising over $500,000 for the Miracles of Mitch Foundation.
Records Fall in 2009... Despite the recession, the MiracleKids drew a record 1200+ kids who helped raise over $200,000 for Minnesota cancer kids.
Race Theme: Kids Racing for Kids Who Can't
Each MiracleKid races in honor of a Minnesota boy or girl who is currently fighting to beat cancer while also raising pledges which provide cost of living grants to families in financial distress while treating a child with cancer. The 2010 goals are 1600 kids and over $250,000 in pledges.
2010 Race Dates:
Minneapolis Event: Saturday, July 17, Lake Nokomis
Chanhassen Event: Saturday, August 21, Lake Ann Park
Tony's passion on the platform and the ideas he shares as a motivational speaker on visionary leadership are all on display at the MiracleKids Triathlon as he leads a team of over 400 dedicated volunteers and some 3-dozen+ sponsors who throw their support behind this extraordinary and inspiring day enjoyed by several thousand spectators.
